F A 3530 - Iron Casting.

Students will learn traditional and innovative mold making techniques for casting iron. Working with lost wax, sand molds and space age materials students will cast ingots molds to final object. Furnace and Cupola design and fabrication techniques are researched.Semester Hours: 3Prerequisite: Sculpture majors: F A 1500, 2500, 2510 and portfolio review.
