C E 4718 - Intermediate Soils Engineering.

Continuation of C E 3708 into selected topics in soils engineering. Laboratory experiments are performed to assess index properties of soils including gradation, soil consistency and specific gravity; moisture/density relations; soil classification, permeability, compressibility; and shear strength of soils. These soil parameters are then used in a design project required for the course.Semester Hours: 2Prerequisite: Prereq/Coreq: C E 3708.
