ACCT 6220 - Controllership: Financial Strategy and Controls This course is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the wide ranging responsibilities of the Controller, including the timely and accurate preparation of the periodic financial statements, maintenance of an adequate records system, a comprehensive set of internal controls and budgets in order to manage and mitigate risk, how to enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results and ensure compliance with GAAP or IFRS. Topics also include techniques for cash forecasting, controlling and administering budgets, and developing effective long-range plans. Prereq: ACCT 6020 or UG equivalent ACCT 4620 and ACCT 6030 or UG equivalents ACCT 3220 and ACCT 3230 with a grade of C or higher. Max hours: 3 Credits. Semester Hours: 3 to 3
