ANTH 4180 - The Nature of Power


Introduces the major theories of power used in contemporary anthropology, with an emphasis on cross-cultural perspectives. Explores how power is defined, determined and exercised globally and locally and how different systems of power articulate with one another. Prereq: Junior standing or higher.
