BUSN 6812 - Business Intelligence and Analytics


Covers technical and managerial issues associated with the development and the use of decision support systems, expert systems, impacts and the future of MSS are discussed. The DSS component covers decision theory, model management, and business intelligence with an emphasis on how decision-making can be supprted using data warehouses, OLAP, and data mining and visualization tools. The ES component focuses on knowledge acquisition, representation, reasoning, and using advanced intelligent systems over the web. In addition, collaboration, communication, enterprise decision support systems integration, impacts, and the future of MSS are discussed. For the best outcome it is recommended that you complete ISMG 6080 prior to taking this course. Restriction: Restricted to graduate majors and NDGR majors with a sub-plan of NBA within the Business School. Max hours: 3 Credits. Semester Hours: 3 to 3
