BIOL 7920 - Directed Reading/Grant Writing


Allows students to examine current literature related to their specialty area of biological research and to work in collaboration with a research mentor to develop a grant-based dissertation proposal in preparation for the comprehensive review examination. Note: Students must submit a special processing form completely filled out and signed by the student and faculty member, describing the course expectations, assignments and outcomes, to the Graduate School for approval. Prereq: Students must be in the Integrative and Systems Biology PhD program and have permission from the instructor. Restriction: Restricted to degree-granting graduate programs. Max hours: 9 Credits. Semester Hours: 3 to 3
