URPL 6505 - International Development Planning: Theory and Practice

This course examines key development issues and planning approaches in cities of the Global South. Topics include: development theory; legacies of colonial urbanisms; actors and institutions in development; urban informality; water and sanitation; housing and land tenure; and climate change, among other topics.
