EDFN 7420 - Foundations of Education in Urban and Diverse Communities This course focuses on the complex relationship between schools and the larger society of which they are a part. Emphasizing historical, political, and sociological perspectives, this course explores the interplay of social systems in education (economic, political, social, health, legal), analyze education policies, and the intended and unintended consequences of these processes.
