ECON 1010 - Economics of Social Issues This course is designed for non-majors. Majors in economics will not receive credit toward departmental degree requirements. The focus of the course is on current issues in the economy, including poverty, social security, airline deregulation, government control of prices, economics of higher education, free trade, race and gender discrimination, unemployment, the role of government, and the national debt.
