SOCY 3297 - Social History of Asian Americans


Introductory-level course surveys the social history of Asian American groups from the mid-19th century to the present. Examines immigration patterns, the development of communities, social and economic problems, and anti-Asian movements and activities. Prereq: sophomore standing or higher or permission of instructor.
