ANTH 4450 - Development and Conservation: Contemporary Issues Applies the theoretical paradigms of political ecology to contemporary issues of sustainable development. Case studies are chosen illustrating topics based on faculty expertise and student interaction. The first part of the course presents theoretical perspectives relevant to the chosen topic. In the second half, students participate in directed problem solving activities. Prereq: Junior standing or higher. Cross-listed with ANTH 5450. Max hours: 3 Credits. Semester Hours: 3 to 3
