BIOL 3654 - General Microbiology

Covers all aspects of the biology of microorganisms: their cellular structures and function, growth and metabolism, general and molecular genetics, diversity and interactions with other organisms and the environment (ecology). The objective is to provide students with a thorough introduction to microbiology including basic micro-biological laboratory techniques. Note: This is a combined lecture and lab course. Prereq: Grade of C- (1.7) or higher in BIOL 2051/2095, 2061/2097, 2071/2096, 2081/2098 & CHEM 2031/2081, 2038/2088, 2061/2091 and 2068/2098. Term offered: fall, spring. Max hours: 5 Credits.
