ECON 4770 - Development Economics


This course provides a theoretical and empirical framework for analyzing economic problems in developing countries focusing on the role of individuals, families and institutions. Topics include poverty traps, human capital accumulation, gender discrimination, microcredit and violent conflict. Prereq: ECON 4811 with a C- or higher. Term offered: fall. Max hours: 3 Credits.
