MECH 4114 - Designing with Composites

Analysis and design of polymers and polymer-based composites. Failure criteria include static strength, stiffness, creep, fatigue, impact and fracture toughness. Design criteria include strength-to-weight ratio and cost-to-strength ratio. Prereq: MECH 3043 or CVEN 3121 with a C- or higher. Restriction: Restricted to majors in CEDC Mechanical Engineering.
