SSCI 5650 - Reflections on Modernity


Explores modernity as a historical epoch and a theoretical space, looking at the commentaries and reflections of influential 20th century thinkers including Adorno, Arendt, Levinas, Merleau-Ponty, Habermas and Foucault. Examines how the theoretical inclinations of modernity were influenced by politics, art, literature and culture. Restriction: Restricted to Graduate and Graduate Non-Degree majors.
