SOCY 3440 - Medical Sociology


This course covers key issues in population health and emphasizes how sociological perspectives both challenge and augment biomedical perspectives on health and health care. We also discuss the social causes and consequences of race/ethnic, sex, and socioeconomic disparities in health. Prereq: sophomore standing or higher or permission of instructor.
