CVEN 4728 - Geotechnical Engineering II Shear behavior and strength, and basic applications of shear strength (such as earth pressure and retaining structures, bearing capacity of footings, and slope stability). Lab experiments, including permeability, direct shear, unconfined compression, and traxial tests, are to be conducted in concert with the lectures. Prereq: CVEN 3708/3718. Restriction: Restricted to Civil Engineering majors. Max hours: 2 Credits. Semester Hours: 2 to 2
