CRJU 3285 - Trauma in the Criminal Justice System


This course examines trauma as widely prevalent among those who are served by the criminal justice system and experienced disproportionately among criminal justice professionals. Trauma prevalence, theory, prevention, and interventions through a trauma stewardship lens for victims of multiple forms of trauma, including vicarious traumatization and secondary traumatic stress, will be emphasized through an all-inclusive view across the criminal justice continuum.
