CVEN 5590 - Design of Prestressed Concrete


To learn the basic concepts of analysis and design of prestressed concrete, which is reinforced concrete in which steel is tensioned against the concrete, thereby introducing compression in concrete and hence overcoming the tensile weakness of concrete relative to its compressive strength.
