Studies physiological, cellular and biochemical processes in human diseases, with particular focus on non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and diseases of aging such as osteoporosis and macular degeneration. Prereq: Human physiology with a grade of “C” (2.0) or higher; general cell biology or general microbiology strongly recommended. Cross-listed with BIOL 5475.Semester Hours: 3to 3
