PHIL 4230 - Postmodernism and the Social SciencesSummer 2010 Registration PHIL 4230
Traces the history of a set of ideas collectively known as postmodern. Disrupting traditional frameworks of knowledge, these concepts have had an enormous impact on the social sciences, the humanities, and the arts. Course readings expose students to the cross-disciplinary impact of postmodernism on theory, content, and method. Prereq: Upper division standing; PHIL 3002 or 3022, minimum grade of “C” in each previous philosophy course, or permission of instructor.Semester Hours: 3to 3
