ANTH 5530 - Anthropological Genetics An advanced survey of molecular and population genetics and their applications in anthropology. Topics vary, including but not limited to: genetic epidemiology, genetic distance studies, behavioral genetics, developmental genetics, sociobiology, and use of mitochondrial DNA to reconstruct population histories. Emphasis is on applications of new technology and methodology, as well as new genetic paradigms replacing classical models of genetic causation. Prereq: Undergraduate course work in biological anthropology or general genetics. Semester Hours: 3 to 3
