CHEM 5550 - Applications of Group Theory in Chemistry

Introduces the basic principles of the group theoretical method as well as its applications in organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry. Covers Mo’s for main-group and transition metal compounds, ligand field theory, molecular vibrations, and electron absorption spectroscopy. Prereq: CHEM 4521 or permission of instructor.
