LCRT 5800 - Sociolinguistics: Language Variation and its Implications for Teaching

Provides an introduction to the field of educational sociolinguistics and research of classroom discourse. Students are introduced to the collection and analysis of oral and written language in educational contexts. Basic concepts and key issues regarding the form-function relationships of language use in instructional settings are discussed. Semester Hours: 3 to 3
