LALC 5010 - ELA Foundations

The course is an introduction to the historical and legal foundations of bilingual and English as a second language education at the federal, state, and district levels. Course participants will examine the ways in which language education history at these levels has influenced policy and practice in the district and their schools and they will explore ways of using this information to advocate for English language learners.
