HIST 4216 - History of American Popular Culture Explores the evolution of film, radio, television, and popular music from the 1940s to the 1980s. The course uses these and other forms of popular art to examine American history in this era. The course focuses on the shifting trends in popular culture, how that culture reflects the larger themes in American history, and how these media have impacted the national experience.
