Examines the nature and extent of domestic violence. Personal characteristics and dynamics that contribute to spouse abuse are reviewed. Theories and research in the general field of family violence, victims’ and perpetrators’ treatment, and child abuse are discussed. Prereq: PSYC 1000, 1005 and 2090 or permission of instructor.
