SOCY 4120 - Popular Culture and the American Family


A course in family sociology in which the ways the American family is portrayed in the mass media and popular culture are studied. Even though the historical evolution of this reciprocal relationship is not ignored, the focus is on today’s relevant issues. Prereq: Junior standing or permission of the instructor.
