An increasingly important specialty in contemporary planning practice is social planning. This course covers the process of formulating public policies and designing, implementing, and evaluating programs in such areas as social services, housing, health care, employment and education. Attention is given to the historical perspective and the present-day social and political context within which social policy formation and social planning occurs. Semester Hours: 3 to 3
