International Studies Minor (effective Spring 2014)

As the globe becomes increasingly connected, students gravitate towards classes that provide the interdisciplinary skills and international awareness required for success in the 21st century. The International Studies minor at CU Denver offers students a unique opportunity to create an individually-tailored and relevant minor based upon a spectrum of Liberal Arts classes.

Introductory Courses

Students must take one introductory class from Economics, Political Science or History.

Minor Electives

Guidelines for selecting and approving courses:

Students cannot take more than two upper-division classes from the same department.
Extra introductory classes will be accepted as minor elective classes, but a minimum of 3 credits must be upper division.
Courses in addition to those listed below may be accepted with the approval of the appropriate campus advisor (whether at the ICB or Auraria).

Amendments

Additional course options and other changes may be added later at the discretion of relevant campus authorities (the INTS Director at Auraria and the Director at the ICB). For example, it is expected that an INTS introductory or capstone class would eventually be created at either campus.
