As the globe becomes increasingly connected, students gravitate towards classes that provide the interdisciplinary skills and international awareness required for success in the 21st century. The International Studies minor at CU Denver offers students a unique opportunity to create an individuallytailored and relevant minor based upon a spectrum of Liberal Arts classes.
These degree requirements are subject to periodic revision by the academic department, and the College reserves the right to make exceptions and substitutions as judged necessary in individual cases. Therefore, the College strongly urges students to consult regularly with their major advisor and CLAS advisor to confirm the best plans of study before finalizing them.

- This is an on-campus program, available to students at the Denver campus and International College of Beijing.

General Requirements
To earn a degree, students must satisfy all requirements in each of the areas below, in addition to their individual major requirements.

Program Requirements
- This minor requires a total of 18 semester hours. Please note: Students cannot take more than two upper-division courses from the same department for the minor.
- All coursework must be graded at a C- or above to be accepted.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required for all courses listed in International Studies minor requirements.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required for all courses that apply toward the minor.
- The maximum amount of credit hours a student could receive through independent study courses is 6.
- The maximum amount of credit hours a student could receive through pass/fail courses is 3.
- Students may be able to complete all 18 credits via online courses.
- At least 9 hours must be completed in residence from CU Denver faculty (whether on the downtown Denver campus or the ICB campus).
