Program Requirements

• 1. Any undergraduate student currently enrolled in a UC Denver degree program with a major other than computer science and engineering may earn a minor in computer science. This includes students from the College of Engineering and Applied Science, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Business School, the College of Arts & Media and the School of Public Affairs.

  2. The student must complete the following classes with a grade of C- or better:

• CSCI 1410 - Fundamentals of Computing Summer 2010 Registration: C SC 1410
• CSCI 2421 - Data Structures and Program Design Summer 2010 Registration: C SC 2421
• CSCI 2511 - Discrete Structures Summer 2010 Registration: C SC 2511
• MATH 1401 - Calculus I Summer 2010 Registration: MATH 1401
• MATH 2411 - Calculus II Summer 2010 Registration: MATH 2411

  3. The student must complete (with a C- or better) three additional computer science courses at the 3000 level or higher with the approval of an undergraduate advisor.

  Note: Some courses at the 3000 level and above require additional prerequisites. A student must fulfill all prerequisites for the courses he/she selects. See the catalog course descriptions for prerequisite information for each course.

  4. All computer science courses 3000 level and above must be taken at the Downtown Campus of UC Denver.

  5. At the time of graduation, the student must have a UC Denver cumulative GPA of 2.0 and must have a 2.0 GPA for the eight classes taken for the minor.

  6. The student must file a minor declaration form with an undergraduate advisor or with the Engineering Student Services office in North Classroom, 3024.
