General Requirements

To earn a degree, students must satisfy all requirements in each of the areas below, in addition to their individual major requirements.

Program Requirements

For an undergraduate minor in sociology, a minimum of 15 semester hours in sociology must be completed with a grade of C or better.
Nine of these hours must be taken from CU Denver faculty.
A minimum of 6 semester hours of upper division coursework are required.

Take the following required course:
SOCY 1001 - Introduction to Sociology
Take one of the following courses:
SOCY 3150 - History of Sociological Theory
SOCY 3160 - Contemporary Sociological Theory
Take nine credit hours of additional Sociology courses.
