MECH 5124 - Yield-Limited Behavior of Materials Analysis of material behavior within the “elastic range,” with emphasis on the phenomenon of yield and factors that influence it. Examination of the theory of dislocations; study of strengthening mechanisms in solids. Consideration of various time-dependent but reversible (inelastic) deformation phenomena.
