Surveys critical, epistemological, social, scientific, pedagogical, philosophical, and legal perspectives on communication, exploring the constitutive relationship between communication and knowledge formation. Students engage communication scholarship as a social activity and become acclimated to the function of a discipline in creating a professional identity. Prereq: Undergraduates with senior standing may enroll with permission of instructor.Semester Hours: 3to 3
