IPTE 4000 - Elementary Literacy Instruction and Assessment

Summer 2010 Registration IPTE 4000
Designed to prepare teacher candidates to develop an appreciation, understanding, and application of literacy assessment and instruction in the elementary classroom. Teachers learn how to use the results of various types of assessment to create a reading and writing program that addresses the literacy needs of all children. The course assist teachers in learning how to integrate the teaching of reading and writing across content areas. Prereq: Concurrent enrollment in an internship or permission of instructor is required. Admission into the IPTE Program. Cross-listed with IPTE 5000.Semester Hours: 3to 3
