IPTE 4025 - Secondary Literacy Instruction and Assessment

Summer 2010 Registration IPTE 4025
Provides knowledge and practice in using specific literacy methods to enhance students’ content learning and literacy development in middle schools and high schools. Various methods of literacy assessment are emphasized as is the use of assessment information to guide instruction for students. Instructional strategies for special populations, especially speakers of English as a second language, are also addressed. Prereq: Concurrent enrollment in an internship or permission of instructor required. Admission into the IPTE Program. Cross-listed with IPTE 5025.Semester Hours: 3to 3
