FILM 3070 - History of Silent Film Production

Summer 2010 Registration FILM 3070
Examines history of cinema from its 19th century origins until the introduction of sound. Studies important trends in the silent era, including the beginnings of film comedy, early documentary, origins of Hollywood narrative, avant-garde cinema, German Expressionism and Soviet Cinema.
