Methods of subsurface exploration and sampling of soils, lateral support in open cuts, control of groundwater, analysis and design of shallow foundations, analysis and design of deep foundations, bridge abutments and cofferdams, underpinning, and application of modern computational techniques to analysis and design of foundations.
