GEOL 1402 - Introduction to the Ice Ages

Surveys the natural history of earth’s ice ages, the processes that led to paleoclimatic change, environmental changes, and the effects on the geological earth. Included are topics in ocean-atmosphere influences, glaciers, glacial geology, influences on world flora and fauna, extinction of pleistocene mammal populations and the emergence of hominids.
