HIST 4226 - U.S. Business History

Surveys the major changes in business practices from colonial times to the present. Primary emphasis is placed on the Industrial Revolution and after. Topics include the emergence of major personalities in the Industrial Revolution; the rise of giant corporations; the response of industrial labor unions; government intervention and regulations and the emergence of the post-industrial society.
