MATH 6653 - Introduction to Finite Element Methods Every other year. The Finite Element Method (FEM) is introduced as a generic tool for the approximation of partial differential equations that model engineering and physics problems of interest. Elliptic, hyperbolic, and parabolic equations are solved with FEM. Prereq: MATH 5660. Semester Hours: 3 to 3
