MATH 8660 - Mathematical Foundations of Finite Element Methods

Every other year. Theoretical foundations of finite element methods for elliptic boundary value problems, Sobolev spaces, interpolations of Sobolev spaces, variational formulation of elliptic boundary-value problems, basic error, estimates, applications to elasticity, practical aspects of finite element methods.
