BIOL 3763 - Biostatistics


Surveys statistical approaches to biology. Emphasizes quantifying problems, study design, data exploration and statistical inference methods. Focuses on methods and examples for general biology, ecology, and health sciences. Includes exposure to statistical software. Prereq: One year of general biology with a “C-” (1.7) or higher, and equivalent of college-level algebra with “B” (3.0) or higher, or introductory statistics with a “B” (3.0) or higher, or permission of instructor.
